The Eritrean Political Forces (EPF) – San Diego Branch under the theme “For Peace in the Homeland and the Horn of Africa, will hold a members’ gathering this Friday at the Horn of Africa Community Center in San Diego.
The event, titled “Eritreans United for Peace in the Homeland and the Horn of Africa,” will bring together Eritrean political organizations, allied leaders, and civic organizers from the diaspora. The meeting represents a new phase in the collective struggle to end war, division, and the re-colonization of Eritrea.
This gathering responds to rising tensions in the Horn of Africa, including recent declarations of hostility by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The Eritrean community in San Diego, long recognized for its commitment to peaceful solutions and democratic renewal, will issue a joint appeal to regional and international actors to condemn aggression and support peace.
